“Art”

This work is a washi-based artwork created using nails hammered into a black board and white threads intricately stretched between them.
The overlapping lines of thread form the flowing cursive word “Art,” whose shadows and depth shift subtly depending on the viewer’s angle.
Geometric shapes such as circles, triangles, and squares surrounding the word are generated through the deliberate arrangement of nails and threads, adding rhythm and harmony to the entire composition.
By combining the traditional material of washi with a modern, graphic design, the piece symbolically expresses the freedom and universality embodied in the word “art.”
